Partner: HBK Essen, Fools Concept, 21 Beats
In 2020 HBK Essen wanted to start giving their course for Photography / Multimedia Art the possibility to start experimenting with audio and sound creation to enhance their artistic expression.
So we teamed up with our friend Markus of The Fool's Concept and prepared our recording studio to host Echo and her crazy ideas. Echo is a media artist from Beijing, China, currently working from Cologne, NRW, Germany. In her works, she combines unsuspecting genres and traditions.
She transformed our studio into an experimental sound foundry, experimenting with the students recording everything and anything, that makes a sound.
The setup for each class was uniquely set by Echo and FCR team for the needs of her students. 21 Beats was helping in the early sessions by introducing Echo and her students to our studios.
